"An activity that I adore and took a major responsibility in is T.A.F.E, which stands for, Texas Association of Future Educators. This organization has helped me so much this year. Although we had a rocky start at the beginning of the year, we overcame it and got vice president in the state office! I am so excited that I found that organization, because I feel that we are definitely a family. We may fight and argue sometimes but isn’t that what all families do? Ms. Carey and Ms. Sosa were great sponsors, they helped us and kept us inline when it was needed and I greatly appreciate it. T.A.F.E might sound like it’s just for teens who want to be actual teachers, but it’s not. Teaching is not just about teaching in a school or a learning environment, teaching is about teaching others from wrong or right or just informing a person about something, that is one thing that I learned in T.A.F.E. In T.A.F.E we not only go to state to compete for state office, we help the community; we show the teachers how much we appreciate them every month, and so much more. I am so glad that I found T.A.F.E because it has opened my eyes to a lot that I couldn’t see."
